MISSION

  • Working within the framework of the I4.0 transformation program at the site or activity level and applying advanced knowledge and experience in the fields of Digital, IS/IT and data, the Site Data Manager supports the Site I4.0 Manager in promoting the transformation, deployment and adoption of I4.0 on her/his Site. 

  • The Site Data Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the Factory Data Lake solution in his/her factory. 

  • The guaranty of data quality with a special attention to exposed data in cooperate data lake (CDL). 

  • The support of Site Data Analyst and Site Data Engineer and the animation of the network of data administrators. 

  • Key user of an IS or Digital application, providing functional expertise to users by delivering support and training.  

  • She/he contributes to application evolution and ensures compliance with security rules.  

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Data accessibility 

  • Implement the Data Lake/Data Store in line with central specifications. 

  • Manage access to D2/D3 data in the Data Lake with support from RGQA. 

  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all questions about data produced by the plant. 

  • Deploy standard machine templates in the PI System in alignment with the Data Strategy roadmap. 

Data governance/Data quality 

  • Apply data governance rules within the local context. 

  • Ensure the quality of data stored in the site Data Lake and transferred to the Corporate Data Lake (CDL). 

  • Validate the quality of legacy-system data before transferring it to the Corporate Data Lake. 

  • Identify and correct data-quality issues, including inaccuracies, incompleteness, obsolescence, and inconsistencies. 

  • Identify and analyze the root causes of data-quality issues and implement corrective action plans. 

  • Drive the data improvement plan and monitor data quality performance. 

  • Continuously improve data-quality controls. 

 IS Security / Incident Management 

  • Ensure compliance with information security requirements, including user awareness, proper system use, FGSR standards, and access-right monitoring. 

  • Provide functional support during incident and post-incident analysis, contributing to root-cause analysis and resolution methods such as Boucle Courte and BibSolve. 

  • Ensure escalation processes are followed effectively, with support from Information Managers when required. 

User support & training  

  • Train new users and trainers, maintain up-to-date support documentation, and provide effective day-to-day L2 support. 

  • Communicate application changes, validate updates after implementation, and define fallback procedures for periods of application unavailability. 

  • Collect feedback to improve applications and training, communicate enhancement needs to central teams and Information Managers, and test and validate changes affecting the shop floor. 

Networking & collaboration 

  • Co-lead the data administrator network, including RULs and other stakeholders, with the Site Information Manager and formalize best practices. 

  • Actively participate in and contribute to the Data Manager network led by the ULD Data Manager. 

  • Support the deployment of use cases and digital products. '

EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Data platforms and architecture: Knowledge of data lakes, data stores, relational databases. 
  • SQL and data handling: Ability to query, join, aggregate, validate, and troubleshoot structured data using SQL; familiarity with CSV, JSON, and other common data formats. 
  • Basic data engineering: Knowledge on Data pipelines, Databricks, Asure platforms.  
  • Programming and automation: Basic ability to read or develop data-processing scripts using Python. 
  • Cloud and analytics platforms: Foundational knowledge of cloud services, Power BI, and advanced analytics platforms. 
  • Data governance and quality: Define and monitor data-quality rules for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and uniqueness. 
  • Operational support: Ability to investigate data and application issues, perform root-cause analysis, document corrective actions, and coordinate effectively with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, IS/IT, cybersecurity, and business teams. 
  • Business and communication skills: Ability to translate business needs into clear data requirements, document processes and standards, train users, and communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
