Your team :

You will join our global Research and Development center for systems and tracks, located in the heart of the beautiful Eastern Townships region. Thanks to the innovation, ingenuity, and passion of our 300 employees from a variety of professions, we are revolutionizing mobility for thousands of people every day. Your role :

Reporting to the Director of Track and Wheel Product Development, you will act as the link between design engineering and the factories to ensure product manufacturability from the development phase onwards. You will define and industrialize models in accordance with performance, cost, and deadline requirements, analyze the root causes of manufacturing and design issues, and implement sustainable corrective actions, while developing and standardizing design rules and guidelines.

 We need you for :

1. Design and industrialize models that meet architecture, quality, performance, and timeline requirements

  • Contribute to the design of the cured model and specifications, including mold and vent profile, taking into account standardization and industrial constraints.

  • Create the raw model and construction specifications that are suitable for the process and factory standards.

  • Lead quality planning activities (R2/R3) within the scope of the assignment.

  • Industrialize the raw track model in the factory.

  • Lead prototype track construction activities (beacon and/or concept).

  • Analyze results and prepare reports for industrial track manufacturing.


2. Continuous improvement of models and processes to anticipate customer needs and optimize industrial performance

  • Lead root cause analysis for issues within the scope of the assignment.

  • Lead the development and deployment of solutions for a problem, model, or process change within the assignment scope.


3. Talent development, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to ensure operational excellence of the team

  • Provide tutoring and training, contributing to successful validation.

  • Keep educational materials up to date.


4. Optimization of tools and methods to enhance design efficiency, risk management, and operational performance

  • Contribute to the creation and/or expansion of the scope of raw design definition tools.

  • Conduct beta tests.

  • Leverage simulation and analysis tools to solve current problems.

  • Participate in related networks.

  • Propose items to include in the progress plan and execute assigned actions.

  • Assess and mitigate risks and communicate results to the steering committee and project teams.


5. Capitalization and dissemination of best practices to ensure quality and reliability from the first product (RFT)

  • Define and update raw design guides.

  • Document and share new practices and working methods.

What do you need to possess for being successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical diploma with at least 5 years of corporate experience, or equivalent experience in a related role in raw design, industrialization, or product development.

  • Knowledge of rubber manufacturing processes, materials, and track and wheel products.

  • Experience in track manufacturing preparation processes and tooling follow-up.

  • Knowledge of mold technologies and curing processes.

  • Experience in industrial controls and measurements.

  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of the Office Suite and CAD tools (CREO and Windchill) is considered an asset.

  • Availability to travel up to 35% of the time, mainly in the United States.

  • Communication skills, team leadership, and customer orientation.

  • Ability to foster learning and development of team members.
