Supply Chain Inventory Controller

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Perform weekly and monthly periodic closures relating to inventory transactions, service accruals, material rebates, and

  • other cost allocations across business value streams within the MLK business entity.

  • Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for continuous improvement opportunities in inventory and its impact towards costing transaction processes

  • Appropriate recording and reconciling inventory transactions related to Inter-plant stock transfers in the SAP MM/EWM system.

  • Maintain inventory controls and monitor cycle count processes.

  • Coordinate monthly and annual physical inventory count and post adjustments for differences.

  • Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.

  • Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control.

  • Evaluate inventory movement and Review Excess and Obsolete provision

  • Liaising with external auditors to provide requested samples, investigate variances, and resolve all inventory-related inquiries efficiently, ensuring a timely audit completion

  • Monitor and suggest for process, control improvements related to Inventory management

  • Maintain Freight in and out databases and reconcile with the general ledger

  • Support Maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in the SAP system.

  • Support monthly and annual Costing Runs.

  • Review production orders for cost discrepancies and perform price adjustments.

  • Prepare and present inventory provisions across all inventory categories.

EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Supply chain management or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Professional qualification in CIMA (UK)/ ACCA (UK)/ ISMM/ CIPS will be advantageous.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in working with financial data related to costing and inventory in manufacturing and warehousing industry.
  • Knowledge about Accounting IAS/IFRS's relating to Inventories will be an Added Advantage.
  • High-level understanding of manufacturing Costing, systems and inventory valuations will be an Added Advantage.
  • SAP experience including SAP EWM, relating to  Inventory management would be a added advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel and related financial systems;
  • Excellent level of verbal and written English communication skills.
