Job Title: Distribution Center Administrator
Job summary:
The DC Administrator is a critical member of the DC team responsible for managing all administrative functions that support safe, accurate, and efficient DC operations. This position serves as the central point for coordinating administrative processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and facilitating communication between fellow administrators, associates, team leaders, and supervisors. The DC Administrator ensures operational accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while helping the DC meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Manage, coordinate, and perform all administrative tasks wherever necessary to support overall DC operations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records for inbound and outbound shipments, inventory, and all other DC activities.
- Serve as a liaison between warehouse associates, team leaders, and supervisors to ensure effective communication.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned. Responsibilities may evolve based on operational needs, and the DC administrator is expected to perform administrative or support duties assigned by management to ensure the success of the distribution center.
Quality:
- Promote an environment of quality and continuous improvement. Identify process improvements that enhance operational accuracy and overall service quality.
- Ensure all processes are followed as written and meet or exceed established standards.
- Identify and report any quality issues or defects promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Support ongoing compliance with CTPAT security standards, workplace safety protocols, and 5S methodology.
- Report all safety incidents or concerns.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with associates, team leaders, and supervisors.
- Clearly and effectively convey information to others; listen to and understand the needs and concerns of your co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on any administrative or operational tasks as assigned.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with great attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work in other departments/areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems [WMS].
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
Note to applicant:
Schedule: A typical work week will be Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays. For working hours, shifts: 8:30am – 5:00pm. (8 hours)
Physical requirements: regular bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching movements, standing for prolonged periods.
Starting rate of pay: $21.48/hr
